Some Hool

I tried to find a less cluttered and more responsive version of these photos on the Magenta Flash Forward site, but they appear to be playing coy about exposing the content. And it's a relatively non-intuitive site design, at least for this old brain; so maybe I just didn't look in the 'obvious' places...

The point being that Hool / Adam has a couple of his best from a while back in the show. Congrats, Hool!

A couple of great Hool ones there.

I don't really understand what that slideshow is though -- looking at the Magenta site, they seem to announce the winners around May each year, so what it this? Am I missing something?

thanks ed, i didn't know about the photos in the telegraph, nice to see them getting out there.

it's a good point about not so accessible content - magenta's mandate is supposed to be the promotion of emerging photographers domestically and internationally, so i don't see why they don't publish the book in its entirety on their site. it's a charitable publishing house so it's not like they're relying on book sales that a free web version might hurt. maybe i'll email them to ask about it.

paul - i think the slideshow is just a selection that the telegraph liked and wanted as content for their culture section online.

i got my copy of the book at the launch in toronto in autumn. it's a very high quality production that i'm glad to be part of. the selections and sequencing have grown on me and now i return to it for visual ideas from time to time.

It all makes sense now. I thought this was some sort of preview of the 2010 winners. I didn't realise that you were a 2009 winner...

Yes, it's odd that there's so little online via Magenta.
